I'm a Diane Von Ferstenburg (DVF) fan... and for all you aspiring fashion designers and models out there, you better know your history! She pioneered the "wrap dress," she makes FIRE luggage, and she's also the president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).

This is Vogue's post-show take...

Speaking of...they had their 2009 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York a few days ago with DVF giving the "Board of Directors Special Tribute" to First Lady Michelle Obama...but she couldn't be there (you know she's kind of busy these days...)

M.O. stay stylin'...

Everyone's favorite, Marc Jacobs, definitely won the International Award. And it was not for his self-titled Marc Jacobs line..but, you guessed it--Louis Vuitton.

(FYI: He's the Creative Director and works with Kanye on designing all that custom stuff...)


If you care to know who took home an award you can keep reading, but unless you are well versed in the fashion world and know your designers--most of these names will mean nothing to you.
