Some of the most prominent members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America have put their seal of approval on the CFDA's latest philanthropic effort. The proceeds from their $25 t-shirts goes toward the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

The Biker Jacket

Is it an extension of "Black boy swag, white boy tags?" ...not really.

One of the trends for Fall 2009 seems to be the "biker jacket" for both men and women. (Yay for coeds!). If they're leather they're pricy... but the jacket doesn't have to be the material, but more of the look. Lots of zippers, and flappy collars that can zip up to the top should get you by with your recession-pockets...

Kanye is doing this whole sneaker thing, and I'm by no means a sneakerhead, I just know what looks good. Recently, the Air Jordan VI x Nike Air Yeezy Doernbecher ::size 12:: was put up for auction to help raise money for kids at the Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The shoe is pretty G... but only one rich person will be able to rock it.

It's a Fabolous line... whose album by the way is GREAT! ....

But Balenciaga is a high-end brand that had a better-than-decent pret-a-porter collection for fall... I don't really know how to characterize the brand if you're not familiar, but they're known for having those turban-looking bubble skirts and flyyy accessories.

Cristobol Balenciaga was a spanish guy (no, not French)... and he's dead.
The HNIC is Nicolas Ghesquiere... watch the short video so you get an idea of what's about to hit stores... and what the copycats like Forever 21 will probably start making there stuff look like...

So I am officially not a fan of watching award shows by 2nd tier organizations (BET, MTV, etc). Not that they're not legit, but you've definitely achieved something when you win a Grammy (or Emmy, Academy Award, Tony Award, Oscar... you get it)...a moon man?? eeh not so much.
But since Twitter and Facebook was just going crazy over the stunts pulled last night, I just had to make my one...maybe two comments.

First Jigga Man and Alicia Keys...



First of all, Jay-Z and his dramatic "jump-right-on-stage" performance was so cliche...but funny.
Second of all... Alicia Keys is so cool! I was wondering why she was grasping that piano for dear life, but I realized her shoes were two broken ankles waiting to happen...she's still flyy tho.

And Lil Mama... WTF?! Jay-Z was like "Is this chick serious" ...she needs to find her niche somewhere, under a rock.
