Due to Drake's underground/commercial success before he was even signed to Universal, "The Best I Ever Had" has been slaughtered on the radio, internet, mixtapes, remixes, everyfreakinwhere... But I was glad to hear back in June that he would be making a video for it....
Too bad the video is trash.
Apparently, according to a MTV News article, Drake said "I want women to feel special when they watch the visual and say, 'I wish that was me,' or 'I know that feeling.'" ...But...in a brainstorm session with his manager and Mr. Kanye West, West ended up on top by "having the best idea" for the video...and ended up directing it as well.
A BIG DIFFERENCE from what Drake originally intended...but hey, it's Kanye West! Who's going to argue against his creativity???
Personally, the video is boring, but I'm a girl and I don't get a kick out of sweaty boobs with a tremendous lack of support.
(I mean, they were bouncing like basketballs...maybe that was the intention giving the setting of the video)
The best part was the Trey Songz and Fab cameo... :)
Anywhoo...I hope Drake switches it up next video and uses somebody like Gil Green or hell... Vashtie!
